The Boxbeach

Origin

I began dreaming about the Boxbeach in 2019, just before entering my junior year of highschool.

Description

The Boxbeach is a large and empty room with no entrances or exits. The walls are smooth, and a gradiented sky is painted or projected onto them. This sky changes as time passes, which is essentially the only thing that does change about the Boxbeach. On one end there is a shore stretching from one wall to the other, taking up about one-sixth of the cubic room. The sand is very soft and compact, and it feels more like kinetic sand than beach sand. The rest of the Boxbeach is filled with water. The area just beyond the shore remains shallow for a few strides before suddenly dropping off into a deep chasm. I have not actually found the bottom of this chasm, though I have tried.

On the opposite wall to the shore is a flat cliff face. On this section of the wall, an indigo mountain range is painted or projected. At high tide, when the little ocean covers even the shore in many more feet of water, I can feasibly swim to the other side of the room and climb up onto this cliff face. I do enjoy sitting on this ledge a great deal, despite how much I don't like swimming over the deep water to get there.

Population

The Boxbeach does not have a Hubpopulation, not unless I enter it with others through The Pool. If I find myself in the Boxbeach, I am completely alone. This extends to ocean fauna as well- I haven't seen shrimp nor shark of any living thing in the water along with me. Despite this, I can hear seagulls.

Rules

DEFINITE

1) I cannot leave the box. The ocean has no bottom, not that I've discovered at least, and there are no other exits anywhere in the Boxbeach. I've been searching for a while, and haven't really found anything.

INDEFINITE

I don't actually think there are indefinite rules to the Boxbeach. It seems like a pretty impossible place to ruin, not to mention I don't want to ruin it anyway. It might be the most peaceful sleep that I get, even if it can be boring. Some days, I just want to relax while i'm resting.
